Preparation and notes

IMPORTANT: Uromonitor collection kit - request from the laboratory - PRIOR APPOINTMENT WITH THE LABORATORY. COLLECTION: 1. Collect the urine into the collection container. Filter the sample immediately or keep the container at 4 °C until filtration (for a maximum of 4 hours) to preserve sample quality and avoid contamination. FILTRATION: 1. Draw a 10 mL urine sample from the collection container using the syringe. 2. Screw the filter onto the tip of the syringe. 3. Push the syringe plunger so that the entire volume of urine passes through the filter into a waste container (not supplied). 4. Unscrew the syringe from the filter. 5. Close the ends of the filter with the caps supplied. 6. Place only the filter, sealed with the caps, in the airtight bag. 7. Send the sample to the laboratory on the same day as collection and filtration.
