Preparation and notes

The tubes with transport medium for products of conception must be kept in the FREEZER until the date of the biopsy (request them from the laboratory). Shortly before the procedure, bring the tubes to room temperature until use, so that the medium is completely thawed when the tissue fragments are placed in it. Once the products of conception are in the tube(s), keep them at room temperature until they reach the laboratory, unless they cannot be sent within 24 hours, in which case keep them in the refrigerator (never in the freezer) until shipment. IMPORTANT: Samples for this test should only be collected Monday to Thursday and never on the day before a public holiday.
